Our USCG licensed captains are passionate about helping anglers experience the incredible fishing Montana waters offer. With decades of combined experience, our guides know exactly where to go and how to find the fish.
Joe has been fishing Montana waters for over 13 years and has piloted the SIZE MATTERS throughout Idaho and Montana for more than 9 years.
His passion for salmonids led him into tournament fishing and eventually guiding. After serving 10.5 years in the U.S. Navy in the Silent Service, Joe found that sharing his love for fishing with others is what keeps him on the water.
The SIZE MATTERS is a fully enclosed ocean boat boasting a steep progressive deadrise. Combined with a .250″ aluminum hull and tall gunnels, she is perfect for the big water, and the big weather. It has an Alaskan Bulkhead with a rear steer station, heated cabin, and an
87″ Minn Kota bow mount to keep the bow exactly where it needs to be. She is powered by a 300Hp Suzuki and a 9.9 Suzuki Kicker Motor.
The electronics consist of a helm mounted 9″ Lowrance HDS 9 Gen III, a 12″ Lowrance HDS 12 Gen III mounted in the rear and a Garmin Livescope with an LVS 62 transducer and Garmin 126sv. The boat runs an AIRMAR TM150 transducer as well as the Lowrance SS Transducer.
The boat is outfitted with 2 Cannon Mag 10 Digitroll TSs. We also utilize a Fishhawk X4D in finding the right temperatures/depths for our target fish. The boat also has a Cisco Systems Planer board system that allows us to efficiently employ our planer board fishing techniques.
Don is originally from Libby, MT and has spent his whole life fishing and hunting his home state. He has lived and worked throughout Montana, with the last 16 years of his life spent in and around Fort Peck. Over the years Don has become a well rounded, multispecies angler. Think of him as the Swiss Army knife of Fort Peck. He has the knowledge and tools to go get you just about anything that swims in these waters. Don is available on Fort Peck for both open water and ice fishing trips throughout the year.
The Larson 2020FX is a “multispecies masterpiece”. The fiberglass hull and overall boat design makes for a stable ride, regardless of the conditions. She is powered by a 300Hp Mercury Verado and a 9.9 Mercury Kicker Motor.
The electronics consist of Humminbird Helix 9s and 10s. The boat also features a Garmin Livescope setup as well as a Minn Kota Terrova with iLink, to keep you on top of the fish.
The boat is also outfitted with multiple Scotty downriggers to help get various presentations down into the deep water. Don runs top notch equipment that he trusts in order to maximize your chances of success.
Eddie is originally from Sidney, MT and has spent his whole life fishing and hunting Montana. He has more than 40 years of experience fishing Fort Peck on open water as well as through the ice! He has a unique perspective of what’s going on out on the water as his family has the Lakeridge Lodging and Bait Shop. There you’ll find bait and tips for your target species before heading out for a day on the lake. Eddie is available on Fort Peck for both open water and ice fishing trips throughout the year.
The Lund ProV 2175 is absolutely loaded. This boat is designed to get the job done and keep you stable and comfortable while you do it. She is powered by a 400Hp Mercury V10 and a 15 Hp Mercury Kicker Motor. The electronics consist of multiple Humminbird Helix 10s, Helix 12s as well as two 12″ Garmin Livescope setups. The bow mount trolling motor is a Minn Kota Quest, 112 lbs of thrust, with iLink, the latest and greatest in the Minn Kota line up. The boat can be outfitted with multiple Scotty downriggers to chase the cold water species during the summer heat. Eddie has all of the equipment you will need for a day on the water, or a day on the ice!
Andy grew up in Bridger, MT and raised his kids in Huntley, MT. He has been fishing Fort Peck his entire life. As an avid outdoorsman, he loves spending time hunting waterfowl and upland birds with his kids. Andy’s list of walleye tournament accomplishments is extensive with multiple first place finishes in both Adult/Child and Mixed Coupes divisions. His resume speaks for itself. He carries a conservation mindset into his fishing charters and enjoys educating our youth about the fishery. Andy is Available for open water walleye trips from May through August.
It is powered by a Mercury 350 Verado and 15Hp Mercury Kicker motor.
The electronics consists of a Humminbird Helix 15 and another Helix 9. Throw in two Garmins 126s and Livescope and this boat becomes a next level fishing machine. The bow mount trolling motor is a 36V Minn Kota Ulterra.
While fishing with Andy, you will quickly realize how efficient his setup is. Success on the water can often be determined by this efficiency.
Lars grew up in Fort Peck. His passion for the outdoors was passed onto him by his parents. When he isn’t chasing the multiple species that Fort Peck has to offer, you can find him traveling and chasing his passion for fishing. His experience includes everything hunting and fishing from Alaska to the bayous of Louisiana. Born and raised on Fort Peck Reservoir has its advantages. His extensive knowledge of these waters, paired with his personality, makes him a great guide to be on the water with! Lars is Available for open water as well as ice fishing trips all year long, for any species you like!

The electronics consists of two Lowrance HDS Pro 12s, Lowrance Active Target and a Humminbird Explorer 12. The fishing space for casting makes this an excellent platform for actively pursuing your target species. The bow mount trolling motor is a Minn Kota Terrova.
Lars is set up to chase multiple species out of a versatile platform. A flyfishing friendly setup for sure for those of you wanting Pike and Smallies on the fly.
Taylor grew up in Lamber, MT and has spent his entire life hunting and fishing outdoors in this area. As a core member of the Get The Net Outfitters Team, Captain Taylor combines enthusiasm and skill with top quality equipment and gear. His reputation for his dedication to his clients and his all-round fun attitude, makes him a sought-after guide come salmon season. Taylor is available for open water Lake Trout and King Salmon trips from June until the lake freezes over.
It is powered by twin Yamaha 150s and has a Yamaha 9.9 Hp Kicker motor.
The electronics consists of a Humminbird Helix, two Garmin Livescopes, SIMRAD Autopilot, and HP kickerd SIMRAD Radar. The bow mount trolling motor is a 36V Minn Kota Riptide, 96” beast.
The Only Fins boasts a fully enclosed and heated cabin, with a private stand-up bathroom. The comfortable seating and sleeping quarters make a day as comfortable as one can have on the big lake. Top it off with 2 Scotty downriggers and electric planer board reel setups, you are all set to hunt down Fort Peck’s greatest prize, King Salmon.
