Fort Peck Reservoir offers some of the most exciting hardwater fishing in the country. Stretching over 130 miles, this vast body of water provides endless opportunities to chase pike, walleye, lake trout, and catfish through the ice.
Each trip is fully guided and customized for your group’s goals, whether you’re after steady action, a trophy catch, or just want to experience the adventure of ice fishing in Montana’s great outdoors.
The chart below shows when we offer guided ice fishing trips throughout the season. These dates reflect our availability and safe ice conditions — not necessarily the peak bite for every species. Weather, ice thickness, and seasonal movements can all influence when the action is best.

Our ice fishing trips cover a large area of Fort Peck, allowing us to stay on the bite throughout the day. We use a combination of tip-ups, jigging rods, UTVs, and ATVs to move efficiently between hotspots following fish as they migrate and feeding patterns shift.
It’s not uncommon to check lines early in the morning and be rewarded with a mix of pike, walleye, and catfish, then switch gears to target lake trout using modern sonar and Garmin Livescope technology.
Trips typically run from December through March, depending on ice conditions. For current availability or to customize your experience, please call or text 406-230-1999.
We’ll handle the rest including setup, gear, and finding the fish.
Whether it’s your first time ice fishing or you’re chasing that next personal best, our guides will make it a day to remember.
